Foundation Intern | Northside Hospital

The Tone:
This is a full-time intern role at Northside Hospital, located in Atlanta, GA. As a Foundation Intern, you will be instrumental in supporting the hospital’s crucial fundraising, marketing, and community engagement initiatives. What You’ll Actually Do
Campaign Execution: Work independently and within a collaborative team structure on various fundraising campaigns, alongside event planning and other special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects.
External Representation: Attend and professionally represent Northside Hospital at various events, community settings, and individual meetings to identify and cultivate potential donor opportunities.
Marketing Material Management: Assist in the comprehensive development of marketing plans and manage the creation of diverse marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, advertisements, and web content.
Development Support: Process all incoming donations accurately and maintain an organized system for tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing assigned tasks and projects.
Growth Strategy: Generate new ideas and identify business opportunities to strategically increase fundraising and fund development, aiming to meet and exceed established organizational goals.
Digital Engagement: Provide essential support to the hospital’s social media efforts, contributing to its online presence and community outreach.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference is given to Junior or Senior students or recent graduates (within 6 months) pursuing majors in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or closely related fields.
• Experience: Demonstrated good academic performance is required. Prior experience in assisting with marketing plan development or event coordination is highly valued.
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Candidates must exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
• Bonus: Flexibility to work events that may occur outside of standard work hours, including weekends, such as the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. The ability to handle confidential and non-routine information with sensitivity is also a plus.
