This is a full-time intern role at PACCAR Engine Company, located in Columbus, MS. This Material Handling Intern role is crucial for supporting the on-time completion of projects by helping to identify, analyze, and document project requirements, ensuring that initiatives stay within planned scope, schedule, and budget, and acting as a key liaison across various project teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Lifecycle Management: Identify, analyze, suggest, review, and document project requirements throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring projects remain within their planned scope, schedule, and budget to support on-time completion.
• Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Create, manage, and disburse detailed reports related to ongoing projects, evaluating and monitoring overall project status, and performing routine analysis to ensure adherence to defined scope.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a critical liaison for the project’s technical, functional, and non-functional teams, maintaining project assets, communications, and related data, and promptly notifying the team and stakeholders of project status or any deviations.
• Operational Support: Support daily responsibilities and contribute to meeting production and project deadlines by assisting with various tasks as needed.
• Cross-functional Engagement: Participate in and contribute to projects spanning key material handling functions such as Engine Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Shipping/Customer Service, Material Procurement, Change Management, Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Material Delivery and Logistics, and Transportation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a BS/BA or MS program, having completed at least the sophomore year, with a focus on Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Science/Analytics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: Experience working on projects or in a team environment.
• Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), problem-solving/critical thinking, organizational/communication skills.
• Bonus: Data mining/cleaning/management/manipulation/visualization, Supply Chain knowledge, Logistics knowledge, experience with SAP/MRP, Excel VBA, MS SQL, Tableau.
