What You’ll Actually Do
• Learning: Participate in a robust, education-based internship program designed to provide deep insight into the business of waste, TerraCycle’s sustainability solutions, and its global operations in recycling, recycled materials, and reuse.
• Development: Actively enhance professional communication abilities through the practical application of effective written, oral, and digital communication methods in a professional office setting.
• Support: Leverage intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, to assist with various organizational projects, data management, and presentation preparation.
• Contribution: Apply any unique skill sets or specialized knowledge to support specific business needs, as identified and matched through the application and placement process within the internship program.
• Engagement: Commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week, including reporting to the office at least two days per week, to fully immerse in the learning experience and contribute to daily operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent GED. Those currently enrolled in a college or university program are required to maintain good academic standing throughout the internship.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is explicitly required for this internship. However, candidates must demonstrate functional experience and comfort with general office tasks that require the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Skills:
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for various business applications.
• High level of effectiveness in written communication, capable of clear and concise professional correspondence and documentation.
• High level of effectiveness in oral communication, enabling articulate expression and active participation in discussions and meetings.
• High level of effectiveness in digital communication, demonstrating aptitude for engaging effectively across various digital platforms and tools.
