Environmental Test Engineer Intern (Fall 2026) | Astranis Space Technologies

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Operate: Operate and set up environmental test equipment, including thermal vacuum chambers and vibration tables.
• Execute: Learn to use various test equipment and instruments to successfully execute test plans.
• Conduct: Set up, operate, and conduct environmental testing such as vibration, thermal vacuum, and RF.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree, plus familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing hardware.
• Skills: Ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure; experience writing Python code to interface with equipment and visualize data.
