Business Engagement Intern | Downtown San Diego Partnership
The Tone:
The Downtown San Diego Partnership drives economic prosperity and cultural vitality for Downtown San Diego. This intern supports the Business Improvement District (BID) team to manage and enhance the downtown business environment. This role provides hands-on experience in urban development, community engagement, and nonprofit governance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Outreach: Engages local businesses to promote access to capital and gathers feedback.
• BID Board Meetings: Prepares agendas, takes minutes, and facilitates communication for board meetings.
• Program Planning: Assists in executing programs like networking sessions and workshops for businesses.
• Administrative Support: Provides data entry, analysis, and reporting for BID initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Established interest in community nonprofits, local economic and neighborhood development issues.
• Experience: Familiarity with Downtown San Diego, small business communities, or urban planning.
• Skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite.
