About the Role
As a Survey Intern at Atwell, you will gain vast experience supporting the Land Survey team in collecting and processing field data. You will be paired with a mentor who will train you on technical reports, layouts, and survey plans for diverse land development and solar projects, contributing to real-world projects from an early stage in your career.

What You’ll Do
• Support the Land Survey team in collecting and processing field data.
• Train on technical reports, layouts, and survey plans for diverse land development and solar projects with a mentor.
• Assist with office tasks including CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing.
• Learn to perform survey activities such as: leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile and cross section surveys.
• Learn to perform physical tasks such as line clearing, pounding stakes, setting monuments, and locating critical underground objects.
• Gain experience with various drawings specific to projects including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layout, and construction staking.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently a student in a Land Surveying / Geomatics program at a University or Technical School.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Have a basic understanding of plan interpretation.
• Have a proven ability to work well both within a team and independently when needed.

Bonus Qualifications
• Have entry level experience with AutoCAD.

Role Highlights & Compensation
• Pay Range: $20 USD – $25 USD
