About the Role
The App Ads and Gaming team empowers TikTok’s global monetization via efficiently delivering application ads on TikTok. This internship offers students industry exposure and hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths, with a mission to push the boundaries of large-scale ad delivery systems and lead innovations in personalized online advertising.

What You’ll Do
• Participate in the development of a large-scale Ads system.
• Responsible for the development of state-of-the-art applied machine learning projects.
• Own key targeting components or strategies in the TikTok ads monetization ecosystem.
• Work with product and business teams on product vision.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Experience in and good theoretical grounding in machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Go, C/C++, Python.
• Experience in one or more of the following frameworks: Tensorflow/PyTorch/MXNet, etc
• Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer or Fall 2026.

Bonus Qualifications
• Familiar with Ads system, recommendation, searching, ranking, etc.

Role Highlights & Compensation
• The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45- $60.
• Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more.
• Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
• Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
• Internship runs for 12 weeks beginning in 2026.
• Fall Start Dates: August 10th, 2026, August 24th, 2026, September 8th, 2026, September 21st, 2026.
