About the Role
The Concessions Intern will join Delaware North Sportservice at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, assisting the management team with training and scheduling team members. On event days, the intern will support stand operations, including inventory management and cash room duties. This role involves working closely with the management team to support and elevate food and beverage operations during Major League Baseball games, running game day operations, and collaborating directly with leadership on decisions that impact guest experience and business performance.

What You’ll Do
• Assist the management team with training and scheduling team members
• Help the concessions team with stand operations, including inventory management and cash room duties
• Support and elevate food and beverage operations throughout Major League Baseball games
• Assist in running game day operations
• Have opportunities to learn and lead team members during events
• Collaborate directly with leadership on decision-making that impacts guest experience and business performance
• Gain exposure to the financial and operational side of hospitality
• Learn forecasting in game financials, event close auditing, product inventory, and how supply chain management support the success of the concessions department
• May have the opportunity to contribute to creative projects such as the development and launch of new food and beverage concepts across the concourse
• Assist with new hire orientation and on-boarding at the venue
• Coordinate team member scheduling on event days and track attendance
• Support with team member check-in on event days
• Perform end of event tasks, including the closing of stands and retail transaction reports

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are at least 18 years old
• Are enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Have proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
• Have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Can perform constant lifting, twisting, reaching, bending, and repetitive motions

Bonus Qualifications
• Business Administration or Human Resources majors preferred
