This is a full-time internship at The Washington Commanders Football team, located in College Park, MD and Landover, MD. • Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, managing service requests, and contributing to strategic technology projects that enhance operational efficiency.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Microsoft Edge)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Collaborate with Technology staff to manage basic trouble tickets and service requests, providing initial support and resolution for user issues.
• Communications: Assist in the comprehensive support of the organization’s phone system, covering both desk phones and cell phones for staff.
• Deployment: Participate actively in the annual computer refresh program, which includes the distribution of new PCs and laptops across the organization.
• Projects: Plan, design, and implement special IT projects, working under the direct guidance of experienced IT staff members to achieve project goals.
• Documentation: Prepare clear and concise documentation for IT policies and procedures, ensuring that resources remain up-to-date and easily accessible to all relevant personnel.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career individual, currently pursuing an IT-related degree, or up to one year post-graduation from an IT-related program. A strong desire to gain practical experience as a computer service professional in a demanding, rewarding industry is essential.
• Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with computer hardware and software systems. Proficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Microsoft Edge, is required for daily tasks.
• Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to work collaboratively with people across all departments.
