The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Prosperity Bank. As a Teller, you will be on the front lines, processing essential financial transactions and serving as a key point of contact for clients. Your work is vital to maintaining efficient bank operations and fostering strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and promoting the bank’s offerings.

• Team: Individual Contributor reporting to management.
• Mission: To efficiently and accurately perform teller functions, provide excellent customer service, and promote the bank’s products and services.
• Tech Stack: Precision, Integrated Teller – Advanced functions (split, cash advance, CC), CTR/MIL understanding, IVIEW, SCO, ATM Balancing, WITS/Wires (minimum domestic), Risk Management Skill, Dual Control.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Customer Transactions: Accurately receive and process customer deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, savings bonds, and cashing of negotiable items, while adhering to all established bank policies and security procedures.
• Manage Cash and Financial Instruments: Verify and balance cash daily, sell traveler’s checks, official checks, and money orders, process credit card cash advances, and detect and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Represent the bank in a professional and courteous manner, operate online teller terminals, promptly resolve client requests and inquiries, and maintain the privacy of all customer information.
• Ensure Operational Compliance and Reporting: Follow all Teller procedures consistently, adhere to compliance requirements, complete required reports and records accurately and promptly, and maintain a balancing record that meets established standards.
• Promote Bank Products and Services: Actively identify customer needs and proactively offer other Bank products and services to strengthen client relationships and contribute to the bank’s growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school graduate or equivalent. This is an early career role focused on direct customer service and precise financial handling.
• Experience: At least one year of related experience in cash handling is required.
• Skills: Good communication skills, professional appearance and attitude, strong math skills, good typing skills, and the ability to operate various business equipment including adding machines, copy machines, and money counting machines.
• Bonus: Prior Teller experience and an understanding of general Bank operations are preferred.
