What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and services across the platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Code Contribution: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code primarily in Python, Go, or Java, and contribute to front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks where applicable.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver user experiences.
• Architectural Guidance: Contribute significantly to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future of the technical stack and infrastructure.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and growth within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects in a production environment.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript. A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software architecture principles is required. Candidates must have extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is also essential. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, and collaboration abilities are needed to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Bonus: Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ); familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and advanced DevOps practices; prior experience in a leadership or formal mentorship role; knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js); experience with performance optimization, monitoring, and scaling high-traffic, distributed applications.
