Accounts Receivable Clerk

Mission Linen Supply, a leading provider of products, services, and supplies to hospitality, medical, and industrial businesses, is seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk. Founded in 1930, this family-owned company headquartered in Santa Barbara offers a professional, safe, and positive work environment with numerous opportunities for growth and success across five western states.

We are looking for hard-working, motivated, and energetic individuals who can multi-task with minimal error and possess strong computer skills. The starting pay for this position ranges from $20.00 – $25.00 an hour, based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the financial operations, including:

Data Entry

  • Keying daily invoices accurately.
  • Preparing invoices and trip packs for delivery drivers.
  • Efficiently filing invoices.

Accounts Receivable Duties

  • Managing invoice retention.
  • Performing deposit entries, adhering to segregation of duties.
  • Placing collection calls to customers to collect past due amounts.

General Duties

  • Answering telephones and entering CRMs (Customer Relations Management).
  • Distributing mail efficiently.
  • Writing, typing, and entering information into the computer to prepare correspondence, statements, receipts, or other documents.

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience is required.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated typing speed of 40-45 wpm.
  • Proven experience working in Accounts Receivables/Collections.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • SAP knowledge is a significant plus!
