Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver features that meet business objectives.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring the long-term maintainability, scalability, and security of our systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of our services.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development, continuously evaluating and recommending new tools and approaches.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js, C#).
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience building and consuming microservices.
• Extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and distributed systems.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with message queues and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with performance testing and optimization tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices in web application development.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
