What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of our platform, enhancing performance, maintainability, and extensibility.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, implementing preventative measures to minimize recurrence.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with core domain knowledge in backend systems and distributed services.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems and distributed services.
• Skills: Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C#; strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles; extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bonus: Experience with asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
