What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design and architect robust, scalable, and highly available cloud services and APIs using modern architectural patterns.
• Develop: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, production-grade code in continuous integration and deployment environments.
• Lead: Lead technical discussions, contribute significantly to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
• Resolve: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures.
• Optimize: Optimize application performance, scalability, and security through rigorous testing and iterative improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a focus on cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on cloud-native applications and distributed systems. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js). Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and excellent communication.
• Bonus: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Jaeger), serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions), or open-source contributions.
