What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Develop: Design, develop, and implement highly scalable and resilient backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Architect: Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and enhancements, ensuring maintainability, performance, security, and scalability across the platform.
• Collaborate: Collaborate effectively with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and QA teams to define requirements, integrate systems, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Maintain and Optimize: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, optimizing performance and reliability of existing systems, often engaging in on-call rotations.
• Mentor and Improve: Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and best practices.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Senior career level.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development with a strong portfolio of shipped products/features. Extensive experience with designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js, C#) and associated frameworks. Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and common design patterns. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with distributed systems, message queues, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
