Job Summary

Quantum Innovations Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and growing engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust software solutions across the entire application stack. You will work on challenging projects that drive our core product offerings, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and an exceptional user experience. This role requires a strong technical leader who can contribute hands-on, mentor junior engineers, and significantly influence architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable web applications and services.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality features.
• Develop robust and efficient backend APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).
• Build intuitive and responsive frontend user interfaces using contemporary JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contributing to the overall system design and technology roadmap.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions and contributing to post-mortem analyses.
• Write comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack software development.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one modern frontend JavaScript framework (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js) and associated tooling.
• Strong proficiency in a backend programming language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex systems and optimize performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Mocha, JUnit, Pytest).
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
