Supply Chain Financial Analyst | GE Vernova

The Tone:
This is an internship at GE Vernova, located U.S. Based (On-site). GE Vernova’s mission is to electrify the world while simultaneously working to decarbonize it, addressing the urgent global priority of the climate crisis. This role is pivotal in advancing GE Vernova’s supply chain investment strategies by driving innovation in financial modeling, process automation, and sustainability integration. The individual will help develop and implement enhanced cost-tracking models that support strategic initiatives, ensuring greater accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supply Chain Financial Modelling: Create and refine advanced financial models to support large-scale supply chain investments, adapting legacy models and ensuring consistency with strategic objectives.
• Cost Ontology & Automation: Formalize a comprehensive cost ontology and automate model outputs for capital allocation, tollgate review exhibits, and executive dashboards.
• Standardized Project Cost Tracking: Establish a robust process for tracking project costs, including clear roles and responsibilities, digital cost submission structures, and a Smartsheet-based tracking tool.
• AI Solution Development: Partner with subject matter experts across diverse functions and business units to design, develop, and implement an AI-driven solution for standardizing, creating, and reporting investment business cases.
• Sustainability Stewardship: Act as a “sustainability steward,” championing the integration of sustainability principles into financial frameworks and investment business cases, and progressing the sustainability framework.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics or Data Science. Career level: Internship.
• Experience: Minimum GPA 4.0 / 5.0 scale.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, quantitative modeling, and data interpretation.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI concepts, automation tools, or data analytics platforms; demonstrated passion for sustainability and the ability to incorporate sustainable practices into business processes; independent, self-directed, collaborative team player with good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
