• Mission: Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the foundational services and infrastructure that support the entire product suite.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Architect & Design: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and performant platform infrastructure services and APIs.
• Develop & Deploy: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code primarily in Go (with some Python), deploying to cloud environments (AWS).
• System Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve the overall efficiency of our infrastructure.
• Reliability & Observability: Build and maintain tools and systems for monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing to ensure the health and stability of our platform.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, and mentor junior engineers, contributing to a high-performing team culture.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a significant portion focused on backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience. Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Skills: Expertise in at least one modern programming language (Go preferred, Python, Java, or C++ also valuable). Deep understanding of distributed systems principles, microservices architecture, and cloud-native application development. Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software engineering best practices.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science. Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with messaging queues (Kafka, SQS) and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB). Prior experience working on high-traffic, low-latency systems. Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community. Experience leading small project teams or technical initiatives.
