The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior AI/ML Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure and tools that power our AI and Machine Learning initiatives. You will work on scalable, reliable, and efficient platforms that enable our data scientists and ML engineers to develop, deploy, and monitor models seamlessly. Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop: Architect, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure AI/ML platforms and services using cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Tooling & Automation: Develop automated CI/CD pipelines for ML models, experiment tracking systems, feature stores, and model serving infrastructure.
• Performance & Optimization: Optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of our ML infrastructure, including distributed training and inference systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and other engineering teams to understand their needs and provide technical leadership and support.
• Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in MLOps, software engineering, security, and data governance within the AI/ML ecosystem.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for the AI/ML platform, identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
• Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML engineering, cloud technologies, and MLOps, evaluating and integrating new tools and practices.

What You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications)

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on building and scaling AI/ML platforms or large-scale distributed systems.
• Programming Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Python and strong experience with at least one other language (e.g., Go, Java, Scala).
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services relevant to ML (e.g., Sagemaker, Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubernetes, EC2/AKS/GKE).
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Containerization: Strong understanding and practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• MLOps Principles: Deep understanding of MLOps principles, including model versioning, experiment tracking, data lineage, and model deployment/monitoring.
• Data Engineering: Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka) and data warehousing solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience contributing to open-source ML platforms or tools.
• Prior experience with specific ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments and data privacy regulations.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and microservices.
• Publications or presentations at relevant industry conferences.
