About Editory

Editory is building the production layer for modern journalism. Our platform helps journalists turn written stories into high-quality social video quickly and efficiently. As more audiences get their news on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, we’re focused on helping credible reporting reach audiences where they already are.

We’re looking for a Social Media News Creator to help bring daily news stories to life on our social channels while gaining real experience with emerging media tools and modern journalism workflows.

The Role

This role is ideal for someone interested in journalism, media, storytelling, or social content creation who wants real experience producing news content.

You will create one short-form news video per day using Editory’s software and publish it to our TikTok and Instagram channels. Topics will be provided by our team and may include major news events, technology, politics, business, or cultural moments.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in news storytelling, on-camera presentation, and social-first journalism, while working directly with a startup building tools for the future of media.

Responsibilities

  • Create one short-form news video per day using Editory’s platform
  • Present assigned news topics in a clear, engaging format
  • Record using our built-in teleprompter and video tools
  • Publish content to Editory’s TikTok and Instagram accounts
  • Maintain a professional and consistent on-camera presence
  • Stay aware of current events and trending topics

Compensation

This role is paid on a per-video basis.
