Heavy Equipment Technicians | Hutson Inc.

The Tone:
This is a role for Heavy Equipment Technicians at Hutson Inc., a leading John Deere dealer specializing in agricultural equipment. This position is critical for maintaining and repairing a wide range of large farm machinery. Technicians will be responsible for ensuring agricultural equipment operates efficiently through expert diagnostics, service, and maintenance.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Various locations across the heartland (27 locations)
• Pay: $20–$40 hourly
• Mission: Perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and/or dealer-owned large agricultural equipment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Diagnostics: Perform advanced diagnostics on a wide range of customer and/or dealer-owned large agricultural equipment.
• Service Repairs: Execute service repairs on various agricultural machinery, applying special tools and adhering to Technical Manual procedures.
• Maintenance: Conduct maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned large agricultural equipment.
• Specialization: Work as either a Road Technician, providing on-site service, or a Shop Technician, performing repairs in a dedicated facility.
• Procedures: Ensure repairs are completed according to established Technical Manual procedures and using appropriate special tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems specific to agricultural and turf equipment.
• Experience: Ability to perform both basic and advanced repairs on heavy agricultural equipment.
• Skills: Proficient knowledge of mechanical systems in agricultural equipment.
• Skills: Proficient knowledge of electrical systems in agricultural equipment.
• Skills: Proficient knowledge of hydraulic systems in agricultural equipment.
