This is a full-time role at Sain Associates, located in Auburn/Opelika, AL. Sain Associates is actively seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join their dedicated Transportation Design team. In this role, you will be instrumental in collaborating on diverse transportation projects, ranging from roadways and sidewalks to critical intersection improvements. This position offers a foundational opportunity to build technical expertise and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge engineering design software, contributing directly to shaping livable and vibrant communities.

• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook), cutting-edge engineering design software, CAD software (MicroStation, OpenRoads).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Quantify: Perform quantity take-offs for various project components.
• Design: Design robust roadway drainage systems.
• Create: Create the horizontal and vertical geometry essential for road designs.
• Assist: Assist with the design of signage and pavement markings.
• Develop: Contribute to the development of erosion control measures necessary for project construction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 0-4 years of professional experience.
• Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook), eagerness and enjoyment for learning new design software, and ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
• Bonus: Engineer Intern (EI) certification and experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or OpenRoads.
