Engineering Assistant Intern

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is one of the largest geotechnical engineering and materials testing consulting firms in the Southeastern U.S. With a history spanning over 150,000 projects across the Southeast, U.S., and globally, we provide services for a diverse range of public and private clients involved in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Engineering Assistant Intern for a temporary, part-time position available immediately at our New Orleans office.

Position Details

  • Type: Temporary, part-time
  • Hours: Indeterminate, varying based upon workload. Flexible scheduling available to accommodate students.
  • Location: New Orleans office. Local candidates preferred; no relocation provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting staff engineers with various tasks.
  • Working in the soils laboratory.
  • Potential fieldwork opportunities, which may include:
    • Logging on the drill crew.
    • Pile driving monitoring.
    • Load testing.
    • Other related field activities.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a recognized civil engineering Bachelor’s Degree program.
  • Preferably, with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Must be an energetic individual.
  • Demonstrates strong abilities in:
    • Mathematics
    • Sciences
    • Computers and appropriate software
    • Data and file organization
  • Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
