Social Media Intern | Golfr
The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at Golfr, offered as a remote opportunity with a flexible schedule. Golfr is pioneering the first social platform exclusively for golfers, designed to empower college golfers to log rounds, climb leaderboards, compete with friends, and revitalize the social aspect of the sport. This pivotal role involves directly contributing to Golfr’s brand expansion across key social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, through creating compelling content, fostering community engagement, and ultimately reaching college golfers nationwide.

What You’ll Actually Do
• TikTok Video Production: Take the lead in filming, editing, and creatively posting engaging TikTok videos designed to authentically showcase the Golfr platform and celebrate the vibrant culture of golf.
• Instagram Content Creation: Systematically develop, schedule, and publish a diverse range of captivating content for Instagram, including static posts, interactive stories, and video reels.
• Twitter/X Community Engagement: Craft and disseminate concise, impactful updates and posts on Twitter/X, aiming to stimulate active discussion, share relevant news, and inform the Golfr audience.
• Cross-Platform Interaction: Proactively monitor all managed social media platforms and thoughtfully respond to comments and direct messages to foster a responsive and engaged community.
• Strategic Content Planning & Analytics: Contribute significantly to the development of a comprehensive social media content calendar, actively collaborate on targeted marketing campaigns, and meticulously track engagement metrics to provide insightful weekly performance reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is open to currently enrolled college students, with a preference for applicants attending UCSB, who are seeking valuable early career experience in the field of social media management and brand development.
• Experience: Candidates must possess demonstrated experience in creating compelling short-form video content, which is a mandatory requirement for a portfolio submission. Additionally, a strong functional understanding of major social media platforms, specifically TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, is essential.
• Skills: The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent writing and storytelling abilities, a high degree of self-motivation, and the capacity to work effectively and independently. A genuine passion for golf or a keen willingness to quickly immerse oneself in golf culture is also required.
• Bonus: Proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro, and practical experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Figma, will be considered a significant advantage.
