What You’ll Actually Do
• Tutoring: Provide personalized 1-on-1 online Algebra 2 instruction to students across the nation.
• Explaining: Clearly explain advanced functions including exponential, logarithmic, rational, radical expressions, complex numbers, and conic sections.
• Guiding: Guide students through complex problem-solving involving matrix operations, arithmetic and geometric sequences, and statistical analysis.
• Adapting: Adapt instructional explanations using technology graphing tools, real-world data, and scaffolded practice to meet diverse learning needs.
• Preparing: Prepare students for precalculus, AP Calculus, and standardized tests such as the SAT/ACT mathematics sections.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of advanced Algebra 2 topics, including exponential, logarithmic, rational, and radical expressions, complex numbers, sequences and series, conic sections, matrices, and probability.
• Experience: Experience effectively breaking down complex topics such as logarithmic properties, exponential growth/decay models, and polynomial division.
• Skills:
• Ability to identify and explain concepts students commonly struggle with using multiple approaches.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Familiarity with common Algebra 2 curricula and typical student struggles.
