This role is crucial for transforming how students learn by delivering customized instruction in Algebra 2, helping them achieve academic success and foster a passion for learning through expert guidance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver personalized instruction: Provide customized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions, adapting explanations to individual student learning needs and styles.
• Demonstrate subject mastery: Clearly explain advanced Algebra 2 concepts, including exponential, logarithmic, rational, radical expressions, and complex numbers, preparing students for precalculus and standardized tests.
• Guide problem-solving: Break down complex topics such as logarithmic properties, exponential growth models, and polynomial division, emphasizing pattern recognition and real-world applications.
• Leverage AI support: Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features, reducing prep time.
• Connect with students flexibly: Engage with students through scheduled 1-on-1 sessions and accept on-demand instant tutoring requests based on your availability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess deep knowledge of advanced functions, sequences and series, conic sections, matrices, probability, and their applications.
• Experience: Familiarity with various Algebra 2 curricula, common student struggles (e.g., logarithm laws, rational function graphing), and preparing students for AP Calculus or SAT/ACT mathematics.
• Skills:
* Ability to clearly explain complex mathematical concepts and adapt instruction using multiple approaches.
* Proficiency in guiding students through problem-solving and connecting abstract concepts to real-world applications.
* Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style suitable for online environments.
* Adaptability to different learning styles and student needs, including the use of technology graphing tools.
