What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Deliver personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions focused on the HSPT Mathematics section.
• Content Expertise: Instruct students across all HSPT Math topics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, measurement, data interpretation, and quantitative reasoning.
• Strategy Development: Equip students with effective test-taking strategies, mental math techniques, and systematic problem-solving approaches for complex HSPT questions.
• Adaptive Teaching: Tailor instructional methods and materials, such as practice tests and targeted drills, to address individual student needs and overcome common HSPT challenges.
• Platform Utilization: Leverage the Live Learning Platform and AI-powered Tutor Copilot to optimize lesson preparation, enhance real-time instruction, and maximize student engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Comprehensive knowledge of the HSPT Mathematics section content, specifically designed for eighth-grade students applying to Catholic high schools. This includes a strong grasp of number properties, fraction and decimal operations, basic algebraic equations, geometric formulas, and statistical concepts tested on the HSPT.
• Experience: Proven ability to teach efficient mental math, estimation strategies, and systematic problem-solving techniques for the HSPT Math section. Demonstrated familiarity with the HSPT curriculum and common student difficulties, such as time management and multi-step word problems.
• Skills:
1. Advanced mastery of all HSPT Mathematics content areas.
