  • Familiar with elementary math standards for grades one through five.
  • Aware of common challenges students face, such as regrouping in subtraction, understanding fractions as parts of a whole, and memorizing multiplication facts.
  • Able to adapt instruction using tools like base-ten blocks, fraction strips, games, and multi-sensory approaches to support young learners at various developmental readiness levels.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Skilled at explaining material using multiple approaches and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
