This role is crucial for delivering personalized math instruction to elementary school students, significantly impacting their academic success and cultivating a passion for learning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized, scheduled instruction to individual students through 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests for instant support whenever available.
• Utilize the purpose-built Live Learning Platform and AI-powered Tutor Copilot for instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Explain core elementary math concepts, including multi-digit operations and fractions, using hands-on manipulatives, drawings, and visual models.
• Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles, addressing common challenges faced by young learners in grades one through five.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core elementary math concepts, including number sense, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic fractions and decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry shapes, patterns, and introductory data interpretation.
• Experience: Familiarity with elementary math standards for grades one through five and awareness of common student struggles such as regrouping or understanding fractions.
• Skills:
• Ability to break down complex concepts and explain material using multiple approaches, adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Proficiency in guiding students through foundational concepts like skip counting, place value understanding, and basic geometric reasoning.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style that fosters a positive learning environment for young learners.
