What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design: Lead the design and evolution of scalable, high-performance, and resilient backend systems using microservices architectures.
• Code Development: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code, and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing system efficiency and ensuring reliability under heavy load.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features.
• Technical Guidance: Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a deep understanding of backend software development, with a focus on building and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong track record in building and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go), deep understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, proven experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, experience with asynchronous programming and message queues, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and prior experience in a technical lead or senior mentorship role.
