Laboratory Technician I | Eurofins Scientific

This entry-level Laboratory Technician I position is vital for supporting daily laboratory operations and maintaining quality standards within the Environment Testing division, directly contributing to the company’s commitment to a safer world.

• Pay: $17.50-$20.13 hourly
• Mission: Support laboratory operations by performing general laboratory methods and techniques in compliance with quality assurance programs.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Sample Retrieval: Retrieve samples from Sample Control to prepare them for analysis.
• Sample Preparation: Perform various sample preparation tasks including aliquoting, spiking, tracing, preparing reagents, and setting up liquid racks.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure all samples are properly labeled.
• Record Keeping: Prepare general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, and maintaining bench sheets and logbooks.
• Laboratory Maintenance: Wash laboratory glassware, stock supplies, and clean work areas to maintain a safe and organized working environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. High school Chemistry coursework is required. Candidates with or without a college degree are encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Basic laboratory experience is helpful.
• Skills: General knowledge of chemistry or science, detail-oriented, basic mathematical skills, strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills.
• Bonus: Mechanically inclined with an interest in instrument troubleshooting, and comfortable with a flexible schedule including potential 12-hour shifts during busy periods.
