• Mission: This role builds deep, lasting relationships with members and the wider community, providing comprehensive financial education and tailored solutions to promote overall financial well-being.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Member Consultation: Engage deeply with members to comprehensively understand their banking needs, review their current financial relationships, and provide proactive, tailored solutions that support their financial well-being and foster loyalty.
• Financial Planning: Strategize collaboratively with members to guide them towards achieving significant personal and business life milestones, such as saving for college, purchasing a home, planning a wedding, or securing essential business loans.
• Community Engagement: Actively represent SECU at various local businesses and community events, delivering valuable financial literacy education and effectively communicating SECU’s diverse range of products and services to participants.
• Relationship Building: Utilize an engaging and authentic personality to cultivate strong emotional connections and nurture diverse, inclusive relationships and professional networks both within SECU and across the communities it proudly serves.
• Financial Advocacy: Actively promote the crucial importance of financial literacy, champion the cooperative credit union movement, and enhance the visibility and positive perception of SECU’s talent brand.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess proven professional experience within the financial or banking industry, demonstrating a solid foundation in retail banking operations and a track record of successful consultative client interactions.
• Experience: Exhibit a strong and consistent track record in consultative sales within a financial services setting, coupled with success in building genuine customer loyalty and significantly enhancing clients’ financial literacy and overall well-being.
• Skills: Expertise across a wide range of retail banking products and services, a demonstrated ability to achieve defined productivity goals, and a strong aptitude for building meaningful and lasting customer relationships.
