What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Provide personalized, one-on-one online instruction to graduate-level students in advanced statistics.
• Guide: Guide students through complex tasks such as designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, and implementing statistical models in software.
• Prepare: Prepare students for research methodology requirements and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Adapt: Adapt teaching methods using R or Python statistical computing, research paper examples, and proof-based exercises to support masters and doctoral students.
• Resolve: Identify common student misconceptions and struggles, then explain material using multiple approaches to cater to diverse learning styles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced academic understanding and mastery of mathematical statistics at the graduate level.
• Experience: Capability to prepare students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis; familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common student challenges.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of mathematical statistics including maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and asymptotic theory; proficiency in using R or Python for statistical computing; strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts and adapting to diverse learning styles.
