What You’ll Actually Do
• Teach: Provide personalized, one-on-one online and instant tutoring sessions to individual students on the Live Learning Platform.
• Explain: Break down complex statistical concepts such as likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and ANOVA decompositions with clarity.
• Guide: Lead students through designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, constructing confidence regions, and implementing statistical models in software.
• Prepare: Ready students for advanced research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis, emphasizing theoretical foundations and their applications across various fields.
• Adapt: Adjust instructional approaches using R or Python statistical computing, research paper examples, and proof-based exercises to support masters and doctoral students across quantitative disciplines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced study in Statistics or a related quantitative field, demonstrating deep knowledge of mathematical statistics, maximum likelihood estimation, sufficient statistics, hypothesis testing theory, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, multivariate methods, experimental design, and nonparametric statistics.
• Experience: Proven ability to prepare students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis, coupled with skill in breaking down complex derivations and guiding through practical application.
• Skills:
1. Proficiency in explaining advanced theoretical concepts such as asymptotic theory, Neyman-Pearson lemma, and generalized linear models.
2. Expertise in guiding students to design experiments, perform multivariate analysis, construct confidence regions, and implement statistical models in R or Python.
3. Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style, with the ability to adapt instruction using multiple approaches to meet individual learning needs and styles.
4. Familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common challenges, including measure-theoretic probability foundations and interpreting complex model outputs.
• Bonus: Ability to emphasize theoretical foundations and connect advanced statistics to biostatistics, econometrics, and machine learning research applications.
