What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized instruction: Offer one-on-one online tutoring to individual students tailored to their specific learning goals.
• Accept on-demand requests: Be available to accept instant tutoring requests whenever your schedule permits.
• Break down complex concepts: Explain intricate statistical ideas, such as likelihood function derivations and posterior distribution calculations, to students.
• Guide through applications: Lead students in designing experiments, performing multivariate analysis, and implementing statistical models in software.
• Adapt instructional approaches: Utilize R or Python computing, research paper examples, and proof-based exercises to support masters and doctoral students.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in mathematical statistics, encompassing deep knowledge of topics required for graduate and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Experience: Proven ability to teach and prepare students for research methodology, along with proficiency in explaining asymptotic theory and generalized linear models.
• Skills: Strong capability in breaking down complex statistical concepts, guiding problem-solving through practical applications, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles, and possessing excellent communication skills with an engaging teaching approach.
