What We Look For In a High School Science Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery:
  • Deep knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science concepts covered at the high school level, including cell biology, genetics, chemical reactions, forces and motion, energy, and earth systems.

• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with high school science curricula across disciplines and common challenges (e.g., balancing chemical equations, understanding genetics problems, applying physics formulas).
  • Ability to adapt instruction using virtual and hands-on labs, visual models, and cross-disciplinary connections.
  • Capable of supporting students from general science through honors and pre-AP levels, preparing them for college STEM programs.
