What We Look For In a Management Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery:
  • Deep knowledge of management theories, organizational behavior, strategic planning, leadership styles, human resource management, organizational structure, decision-making processes, and change management.
  • Ability to explain classical and contemporary management theories, motivational frameworks (including Maslow and Herzberg), and strategic analysis tools.
  • Capable of preparing students for business management coursework and leadership roles.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving:
  • Skilled at breaking down complex concepts like organizational structure design, leadership style analysis, and strategic planning frameworks.
  • Guides students through analyzing management case studies, evaluating leadership effectiveness, designing organizational charts, applying SWOT analysis, and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Emphasizes connecting management theory to practical organizational challenges and applying concepts to corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial settings.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiar with management curricula, including principles of management and organizational behavior courses.
  • Understands common challenges students face, such as applying abstract theories to practical situations, distinguishing leadership styles, and understanding organizational dynamics.
  • Adapts instruction using various resources like Harvard Business School case studies, group discussion activities, and simulation exercises to support undergraduate business students and professionals.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches.
  • Capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
