This role is crucial for transforming the way people learn by providing personalized online instruction, helping students achieve academic success and a deeper understanding of advanced statistics. Through tailored teaching, tutors make a significant impact on masters and doctoral students across various quantitative disciplines.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guide: Guide graduate-level students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Explain: Explain complex theoretical foundations such as asymptotic theory, Neyman-Pearson lemma, and generalized linear models.
• Facilitate: Facilitate problem-solving for likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and ANOVA decompositions.
• Adapt: Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles, using multiple approaches and relevant examples.
• Connect: Connect with students for personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring or instant on-demand sessions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced academic background with deep knowledge in mathematical statistics, Bayesian inference, and regression analysis.
• Experience: Familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common challenges like measure-theoretic probability and deriving estimator properties.
• Skills: Advanced subject mastery in experimental design, multivariate methods, and nonparametric statistics; conceptual teaching for complex statistical models; strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style; ability to implement statistical models in R or Python.
