What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Guide students in developing an authentic voice, selecting compelling topics, and demonstrating “showing versus telling” in personal narratives.
• Teach: Explain brainstorming techniques, personal narrative construction, and iterative revision for college application essays.
• Adapt: Modify instruction using brainstorming exercises, model essay analysis, and multiple revision rounds for high school juniors and seniors.
• Provide: Deliver personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students using the Live Learning Platform.
• Accept: Respond to instant tutoring requests on demand whenever available.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated deep knowledge of college application essay requirements, including Common Application, Coalition Application, and supplemental prompts.
• Experience: Expertise in narrative essay techniques, personal statement structure, and understanding admissions reader expectations.
• Skills:
