  • Familiarity with high school computer science standards, including CSTA frameworks.
  • Awareness of common student challenges like abstract thinking about algorithms, debugging syntax and logic errors, and fostering persistence through coding challenges.
  • Ability to adapt instruction using visual programming tools, interactive coding platforms, and engaging projects to support students from introductory “exploring computer science” levels through pre-AP preparation.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Proven ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Capacity to explain material using multiple approaches and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
