In this role, you are essential for ensuring the store remains clean, safe, and ready for customers by managing incoming freight and organizing merchandise efficiently. What You’ll Actually Do
• Store Maintenance: Prepare the store environment for daily operations by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and customer readiness.
• Inventory Management: Accurately receive, stock, and organize merchandise on shelves and in top stock locations by unloading freight and setting up pallets.
• Operational Support: Verify deliveries, complete dock preparation, and safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move products to the sales floor.
• Customer Interaction: Deliver service by assisting customers with locating products, answering questions, and loading items whenever support is required.
• Equipment Use: Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, and balers, and utilize the Orders App for picking and staging delivery orders in Pro Fulfillment stores.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required.
• Skills: Attention to detail for accurate stocking; adherence to safety procedures for equipment operation and hazardous materials; ability to operate store equipment (e.g., scanners, balers); basic customer assistance skills.
• Bonus: 3 months experience operating power equipment such as forklifts, lifts, or order pickers; 6 months experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
