Junior IT Helpdesk Technician II Service Center | Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS)

The Tone:
This is an early career position at Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS), located in Washington, DC. CARS specializes in providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both within the United States and overseas. This role is crucial for delivering essential in-person desktop support to users across the FCC HQ and GB campuses, ensuring smooth technical operations. The Junior IT Helpdesk Technician II plays a key part in the direct support of federal government operations through technical troubleshooting and workstation setup.

What You’ll Actually Do
Support: Provide direct in-person desktop support to end-users by responding to tickets for hardware, software, and network issues.
Communicate: Draft clear and straightforward email correspondence with users to relay pertinent information or instructions effectively.
Resolve: Track and efficiently resolve technical issues using established ticketing systems.
Assist: Offer specialized support to VIP users as needed and meticulously maintain all relevant technical documentation.

The Must-Haves
Background: Early career professional with either a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of relevant experience, OR a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience. Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining Public Trust Clearance.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant technical support role (with a Bachelor’s degree) or 4 years (with a high school diploma/GED), demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting and customer interaction.
Skills: Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team setting; capable of managing multiple priorities under time constraints; excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications; strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to think abstractly; and a professional demeanor with good phone skills for remote assistance.
Bonus: Active CompTIA A+ certification is preferred.
