IT Infrastructure and Operations Specialist – Early Career | General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT)

The Tone:

This role is crucial for supporting the IT infrastructure and operations of critical healthcare systems for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), helping ensure their stability and performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage and maintain mission-critical Validation, Test, and Development environments, including providing 24/7 on-call support.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement solutions to enhance system performance and optimize operational efficiency.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure system scalability and resource availability.
• Execute Oracle DB and eBusiness Suite (EBS) cloning, patching, and upgrade processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with 0-2 years of experience, holding a BS/BA in Information Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience specifically within Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) applications R12.2.x, covering installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, strong troubleshooting skills, performance testing and optimization, experience in automation (Shell, Perl scripting, Ansible), experience with Linux/Unix OS, Oracle RDBMS, and Oracle EBS R12.x.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Exadata Engineered Systems, and knowledge in OBIEE, SOA, Oracle IDM/SSO, including installations, configuration, and patching.
