Junior Field Applications Engineer – NVIDIA

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate, hardworking, and creative Junior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our team. This role focuses on system design, networking, and providing leadership to customers who believe in the transformative potential of artificial intelligence. You will be instrumental in bringing groundbreaking enterprise solutions, leveraging NVIDIA’s impactful AI platforms, to leading academic institutions, start-ups, and the world’s largest enterprise companies.

As a specialist in datacenter system and network design for AI computing, your primary responsibilities will involve onsite technical engagement for large-scale deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems. This highly collaborative role requires working across various internal functions while ensuring an exceptional experience for external customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
  • Solve complex hardware and deployment issues in real-world scenarios.
  • Act as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers and collaborating closely with the team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
  • Actively establish strong technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
  • Identify customer architectures and key product requirements within the evolving enterprise AI market.
  • Provide valuable technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal NVIDIA teams to ensure seamless execution and support.

What We Need To See

  • Education: BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 1+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry, specifically in a system design role or technical customer support role.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other critical data center hardware components.
  • Adaptability: Capable of thriving in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Expert analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Organization: Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering teams.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
  • Comprehensive Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Embedded Systems: Knowledge of Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS.
  • Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.

Salary & Benefits

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is:

  • Level 1: 92,000 USD – 149,500 USD
  • Level 2: 108,000 USD – 178,250 USD

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
