Job Overview

TEKsystems is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Hardware Break/Fix Technician to maintain the hardware infrastructure of cutting-edge cloud computing server technologies. This is a fully onsite, contract position for individuals ready to tackle hands-on server and network hardware issues in a fast-paced data center environment.

Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Hardware Break/Fix Technician, you will be tasked with maintaining the critical hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of physical server and network components.
  • Quickly and accurately resolving issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis.
  • Ensuring optimal system performance and uptime for cloud computing infrastructure.
  • Utilizing a solid understanding of computer servers, network devices, and command line diagnostics to identify and fix problems.

Required Skills & Experience

  • MINIMUM 1+ Year of Hardware Break/Fix Experience: Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues.
  • Previous Hands-on Server Maintenance Support: Demonstrated experience performing hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing physical components of servers.
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to work on your feet for 12-hour days in a data center environment.
  • Solid Understanding: Proficiency with computer servers, network devices, and command line diagnostics.

Education and Certifications are nice-to-haves but not a requirement for this role.

Shift & Schedule

This position requires commitment to 12-hour shifts on an alternating 3 days/4 days weekly schedule. Both Day and Night positions are available.

  • Front-Half Days: From Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday.
  • Back-Half Days: From Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday.

Note: While initial shifts are as described, schedules may be adjusted based on business needs. This may include flexing hours, extending shifts up to 12 hours, potential night shifts, and other changes as required. Schedule modifications will be communicated in advance when possible.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position, and it is fully onsite in Plain City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $22.63/hr.
