Field Installations Technician | TEKsystems

• Mission: To expertly install and service structured cabling and power equipment at end client sites, including Data Centers, Central Offices, and Wireless Cell Sites throughout the Maryland territory, ensuring all projects meet high safety, professional, and efficiency standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Install: Implement low voltage and data cables according to project specifications at various client locations.
• Install: Set up and configure power units, power equipment, and generators within diverse industrial settings.
• Service: Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for structured cabling and power equipment.
• Collaborate: Work effectively within partnered teams to ensure all installation projects are completed safely, professionally, and in a time-efficient manner.
• Operate: Navigate and perform tasks effectively in a variety of challenging environments, including large facilities, enclosed areas, and at height points.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career; Possess a foundational understanding or certification in Low Voltage/Structured Cabling, with particular relevance to working in large venue environments. Graduate students from a technical trade school are specifically considered for this entry-level opportunity.
• Experience: Practical, hands-on experience with structured cabling or low voltage installations, or an equivalent educational background that has provided a strong basis in these technical skills.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability in the installation of low voltage/data cables, power units, power equipment, and generators; ability to collaborate effectively within teamed environments; exhibit flexibility with working schedules and a willingness to travel extensively to various field sites across the Maryland territory.
