What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design: Lead the design and implementation of complete detention equipment systems, including glazing, doors, frames, hardware, and detention furnishings.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain constant communication with project management, vendors, general contractors, and architects to ensure seamless project execution and proactive problem-solving.
• Technical Translation: Accurately interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings, translating design information into practical methods and material specifications for field implementation.
• Project Documentation: Compile necessary submittal documentation, generate Requests for Information (RFIs), and create comprehensive design drawings to clarify project intent.
• Cost-Effective Solutions: Develop efficient and reliable system designs that are cost-effective for CML Security and its customers, supporting the procurement of necessary equipment and conducting regular project reviews.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent related industry experience. This is an early career role.
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience, demonstrating strong skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Adobe or Bluebeam, and Timberline or similar accounting software.
• Skills: Ability to accurately interpret architectural and engineering drawings, create detailed design documentation, manage project-related communications effectively, and travel to project sites. Requires a Valid Driver’s License and OSHA-10 certification.
• Bonus: Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, along with general construction knowledge.
