What You’ll Do

As a Heavy Civil Estimator, you will be integral to our pre-construction process, contributing to the successful bidding of complex sitework projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Quantity Takeoffs: Perform detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, underground utilities, and other site development scopes.
• Software Utilization: Utilize industry-leading software for takeoffs and bid preparation, including:
  • Agtek: Perform detailed earthwork modeling and quantity analysis (3-5 years of experience required).
  • Bluebeam: Leverage for plan review, markups, and quantity takeoffs.
  • Procore & B2W: Assist with estimating functions and bid assembly.
• Pricing & Bid Preparation: Gather competitive pricing from material suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to help assemble comprehensive and winning bids.
• Document Review: Meticulously review construction plans, specifications, and other project documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Internal Coordination: Collaborate effectively with senior estimators and project managers to clarify scope, address assumptions, and ensure seamless project handoff.
• Support Senior Estimators: Provide direct support to senior estimators, assisting with various tasks to streamline the bidding process and enhance efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated professional who meets the following qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated estimating or field experience directly related to turnkey sitework projects, encompassing commercial, light industrial, or residential subdivision work.
• Agtek Proficiency: A strong command and 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Agtek software for earthwork modeling and takeoffs is essential.
• Scope Exposure: Demonstrated experience with and understanding of grading, earthwork, underground utilities, and general site development scopes of work.
• Software Acumen: Proficient in using Agtek, Bluebeam, Procore, and B2W for estimating functions.
• Technical Skills: Excellent construction plan reading abilities and proven quantity takeoff skills are critical.
• Personal Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, organized, with a strong work ethic, and a clear motivation to grow and advance within the estimating profession.
• Location: Ability to work fully onsite in our North Atlanta, GA office; this is not a remote position.
