Junior Transit Systems Consultant | Hatch

The Junior Transit Systems Consultant helps ensure the successful design, implementation, and performance of critical transit systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Review: Create, modify, and review design documents and technical specifications for transit systems.
• Vendor Management: Directly collaborate with vendors as a client representative, including reviewing and approving their submittals.
• Client Engagement: Participate in and lead technical working sessions to address issues and concerns raised by clients.
• Testing & Commissioning: Assist in testing and commissioning transit system equipment and software, and implement test plans and procedures.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or a related field, with a fundamental understanding of core Transit System concepts.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of progressive professional experience, specifically within the transportation industry.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills; basic understanding of SQL Database and the ability to perform basic database queries; strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Bonus: Experience working within the Automated Fare Payment ecosystem is preferred, along with flexibility to travel to various client sites as needed.
